Foot and ankle care that finds the cause, not just the symptom

Since 2017 we’ve cared for feet across East Perth. We assess properly, explain clearly, and build a treatment plan around your goals, whether that’s easier mornings, a return to sport, or keeping your feet healthy long term.

1. Assess

A thorough biomechanical and gait assessment to understand exactly what’s driving your pain.

2. Treat

Evidence based care, orthotics, shockwave, dry needling, prolotherapy and hands on treatment.

3. Move

A clear plan to get you back on your feet and keep you there, with the right footwear and rehab.

Frequently asked questions

How often should you see a podiatrist?
The frequency of your visits depends on your concerns or conditions. During your initial consultation, we will develop a treatment plan and give you an idea of the time frame.
How can podiatrists help?
Podiatry is a healthcare service that focuses on the assessment and care of foot and lower limb health. Podiatrists are highly skilled and experienced professionals who are passionate about helping you achieve your foot health goals and needs. They can diagnose and treat a wide range of foot conditions and issues and create a personalised treatment plan to improve your comfort and functionality. It’s important to note that you don’t have to wait until you experience discomfort and decreased mobility to seek podiatry assistance. They can help at any time.
What happens at the first appointment with a podiatrist?
We will discuss with you your requirements and goals, and provide a comprehensive assessment of your feet, including your background health history when relevant. We will then create a customised plan regarding your issues and begin treatment.
What are the most common conditions podiatrists treat?
Within the extensive list of issues and conditions podiatrists treat, some of the more common ones include plantar fasciitis, ingrown toenails, heel pain, ankle sprains, arch pain, Morton’s neuromas and shin splints.
Is podiatry covered by Medicare?
Medicare covers some aspects of podiatry care. These generally require a referral from a GP and depend on the issue you are receiving help for. JS Podiatry does not offer bulk billing, and as such, a gap fee is payable. We do process HICAPS and process health fund rebates.
Do I need a referral to see a podiatrist at JS Podiatry?
No referral is required for private podiatry appointments. However, if you’re eligible for Medicare rebates under a Chronic Disease Management Plan, you will need a GP referral.
What podiatry services do you offer?
We provide general podiatry, orthotics, gait assessments, sports injury management, wart treatments (SWIFT), diabetic foot care, NDIS support, and more.
Where is JS Podiatry located?
Our clinic is located at 14 Wickham Street, East Perth WA 6004, within the Spine & Sports Centre, with convenient parking and public transport nearby.
Do you see children or NDIS participants?
Yes, we welcome children of all ages and are a registered NDIS provider for plan managed and self managed participants.
How can I book an appointment?
You can book online via our website 24/7, or call us on (08) 6263 4686 during clinic hours.
