From sore feet to a plan that fits, five steps

  1. 01

    Assess

A comprehensive one-hour consult: gait analysis, joint range testing and a footwear review, to find the root cause, not just the sore spot.

  2. 02

    Scan & design

3D foot scanning captures your exact structure, and your podiatrist writes a prescription built around how you actually move.

  3. 03

    Print & fit

Manufactured through our in-house orthotic lab, 3D printed and often ready to fit within 48 hours.

  4. 04

    Follow up

Adjustments and support after fitting, so your orthotics keep working as your body adapts.

  5. 05

    Treat

Orthotics relieve strain from structure; where treatment will get you there faster, we build a tailored plan alongside them.

12,000 sensors watching every step

Your gait analysis runs on our Zebris system, a pressure-sensing treadmill with over 12,000 sensors and two high-speed cameras. It gives us in-depth data on your walking and running patterns that eyes alone can't see, so the diagnosis rests on evidence, not guesswork.

Worried you will just be sold orthotics?

It is the question we get asked most, and it is a fair one. Plenty of people who come in expecting orthotics leave with a footwear change and a few exercises instead. Tell us what is going on and one of our podiatrists will read it and tell you honestly whether an assessment is worth your time.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between custom orthotics and generic insoles?
Custom orthotics are professionally prescribed devices designed to support your feet and improve function during walking and activity. Unlike generic insoles, they are tailored to your individual foot structure and biomechanics.
What happens during a biomechanical assessment?
Our one-hour assessment includes a comprehensive gait analysis, joint range testing and footwear review. We then use 3D foot scanning to create a prescription based on your needs, followed by manufacture, fitting and follow-up support.
How long does it take to get my orthotics?
We have an in-house orthotic lab, and one of our laboratories prints 3D custom-made orthotics to our in-house printers. This means we can often have your orthotics ready to fit within 48 hours.
How much does a biomechanical assessment and orthotics cost?
Our one-hour biomechanical assessment starts from $245. Custom orthotics start from $650, while semi-custom or prefabricated devices range from $120 to $450. Private health rebates apply.
Do I need a referral to book an assessment?
No referral is needed. You can book your orthotics consultation directly with one of our experienced podiatrists at our East Perth clinic.
